Drawings are the most intuitive, simplest, and purest art form. I delve into the form on paper with pencils, a personal short journey of study, observation, and processing. From these journeys, I sometimes develop new ideas for larger work and new ways of expressing myself. You can express a lot with graphite lines, such as tones, accentuation, shade, connection, continuation, motion, speed emphasis, texture, edge quality, length, and width. For daily exercises and self-development, I diligently create numerous drawings. Figure drawing allows me to express my emotions, moods, and ideas with the universal language of facial expressions, hair and body language, and composition.
